For the first time in Japan, there will be a “LongDance”, as designed and given to us by Joseph Rael, a Native American medicine man.

Joseph Rael, aka Beautiful Painted Arrow, is widely recognised as a mystic, seer, ceremonial leader, artist, teacher and writer.
He is the creator of “Long Dance”, “Drum Dance” and “Sun Moon Dance”. All three of these dances have been designed for people of all ethnicities, faiths and backgrounds.
In the Long Dance, we dance around the fire, through the long night, in the darkness of the Universe and in our own personal darkness. It’s a dance that “pulls guidance from the subconscious”.
We dance for Transformation.
By Dancing, we connect with the Divine, with Nature, and with our own Souls.
It awakens three opportunities as a human being. The first is placement in eternity,
The second is the cleansing of the past,
The third is new opportunities for adventure
By dancing, we clear the past, take responsibility for the present, and create an opportunity for a positive future.
Purify and heal everything that has been buried in the past and subconscious, living in the conscious now.
It is a dance to the future that exists in the superconscious part of our being.
The dance begins at sunset.
We Dance to the beat of the heart, emitted from the drum. We walk from the past to the present and into the future.
The dance continues all through the night until dawn.
We dance part of the night counterclockwise,
Then dance clockwise until sunrise.
At dawn we close the dance.
After breaking the fast with water and watermelon,
we go to our tents and enter Dreamtime.
Dreamtime is the energy of dance
penetrating deeply into the dancer,
It is time to be instilled in its presence.
When we get up from the Dreamtime of 3 to 4 hours,
we gather together to feast.
Dancers share can their experiences if they wish.
Long dancing is an “act of prayer”.
It is intense personal work and worship.
Dance is a way for dancers to take responsibility for themselves, release trauma and forgive.
The ceremony encourages embracing newness and self-love.
*****
Participants (dancers) will be asked to make a “banner”, drawn on a white flag.
How to make a banner:
The banner will be 1M x 30-50cm wide, and you will prepare and make your own white cotton cloth.
Images, words and symbols are drawn using pen and ink,
You can draw in colour or black.
How to draw a banner:
Upper 1/3 means “past”,
Draw “things that need healing”.
The middle 1/3 means “now”,
To “move forward in the right way”
Draw “letting go of things that no longer serve you”
The bottom 1/3 is “future hopes, dreams and aspirations”.
The banner helps dancers focus throughout the dance,
it can be hung inside the dance circle.
